This Viking axe pendant is hand forged out of iron. The axe was one of the most important tool during the viking age. It can be used both as a tool and as a weapon, and therefore it was an important and common tool. Small axe pendants were also common as grave gifts. The pendant is all handmade and made with burnt linseed oil as coating to prevent oxidation and to get this beautiful black color. The handle is made out of birch and has been burned to get the black/dark brown color. The handle is coated with Linseed oil. 75cm x 35cm.
